We had 5% interest rates about five years ago, but for some reason, so many people have forgotten about that. What truly matters is your payment and where you want to live.
If you want to live in Cheyenne, Wyoming, you should know that real estate tax is still extremely low—less than 1%. Plus, we don’t have transfer or state taxes. Therefore, if the payment works for you, don’t worry about the interest rate. This is a wonderful place to live for several reasons, so focus on that!
