1. Buyers are waiting. Right now, buyers are watching the real estate market, expecting more inventory to come up for sale in January. Many buyers are waiting for all the holidays to wind down before they enter or re-enter the market. They’re currently busy since it’s the holiday season, but they’ve been getting ready to buy in the new year. Don’t miss out on this influx of buyers.
2. Time to get ready. You have a little time until January, so you can vet a real estate agent and produce a great marketing strategy for your home. If you’re interviewing agents who aren’t providing a marketing strategy, you want to talk with more than one agent. Their strategy has to be more than putting a sign in the yard and having access to the MLS. They should be supplying things like professional photography, 3D tours, and Facebook ads.
