What the August numbers say about our Cheyenne real estate market.
As we roll into September, it’s time to look back at the numbers from August and find out what they say about our real estate market.
Last month we had 337 active listings, 232 homes under contract, and 1,191 homes sold year-to-date. The average sales price was $402,000, and the average days on market was 63.
These numbers tell us a few things. First, buyers now have more options. On top of that, sellers will have to be more patient and less emotional to weather the increased days on market.
There are tons of good opportunities for buyers. Sellers are offering more incentives, which we can use to make buying more affordable by negotiating rate buydowns or credits for closing costs. There is also some room to negotiate the purchase price.
