I'm going over the benefits of having your home pre-inspected.
Before you list your home, you should get it pre-inspected. Isn’t that the buyer’s job to do the inspections? It is, but here are the reasons why it’s a good idea for you to get one as a home seller:
First, you can get ahead of little issues. If you know a buyer is going to want you to pay for something, you can save the frustration of trying to negotiate repairs once you get your home under contract. You can also get ahead of major issues that would need to be fixed before the home is listed anyway. I always recommend getting plumbing, heating, and electrical inspections.
When you find a buyer for your home, show them your inspection list. More than likely, buyers will ask for things to get repaired, so go ahead and get those done. It’ll help the transaction move smoothly with less back and forth between you and the buyer. That way, you can get your home sold quickly and with the least amount of stress.
