Today I have three tips to help you sell your home in the fall.

If you’re planning to sell your home this fall, here are three key tips that will help you find success:

1. Take your listing photos now. Be sure to take photos of your home when the sun is bright, the grass is green, and the trees aren’t bare. That way, your home will look its best for online home shoppers.

2. Take professional photos. Yes, that means hiring a professional photographer. Don’t use your cell phone; a pro will better capture your home in its best light, and their access to editing software is miles beyond what your phone could do. Hiring a professional isn’t that expensive, either—it might cost you somewhere between $125 and $160 to get some really good photos

“Take listing photos while the grass is still green and the trees are still full.”

3. Start shopping for a Realtor now. Good real estate agents will have a great marketing plan for you, the centerpiece of which will be your photos. Whoever you choose (you should interview two or three agents before settling) should be able to give you good advice about how to position your home to be seen by the most buyers possible. It’s not always the best commission that gets you the best bang for your buck.
